Yesterday... Easter Sunday... the day started off alone and quiet... just another day in my life. My youngest son took the car to work, so I was pretty much stuck.

Then like magic, my big boy, Ben arrived with my three grandchildren for lunch, armed with a big sugar free chocolate, most of the lunch and something to drink... and also, lots of love and hugs and happy, uplifting conversation for me 💖

After lunch, we went to visit my dad and my little sister, brother in law and two nephews were there. We all had such a lovely time together... just like old times when I still believed in their love without question.  It was so wonderful... I felt happy and completely content 💖I even managed to communicate with my dad more easily... laughter... the most beautiful communication 💖

I have my family back and I am so grateful for the Miracles of True Love, that don't always come in the way we imagine (fantasies) but come in a way that is still so nourishing and uplifting for the soul… maybe more so, once the fantasies have been seen through and dealt with.

We stayed for hours, just chatting, laughing, sharing and I was feeling the love being with them.  What a beautiful day yesterday was for me.

And to think... it all started out, alone and quiet... just another day...

Life is always a Wonderful Miracle in Progress, no matter what and LOVE truly does conquer all.

Have a beautiful day 💖

I believe that we are meant to meet and be influenced / affected by those that cross our paths. Some give us a different perspective and others grab us by the throat and shake an awareness into us. When we become complacent and forget to value the texture of life we have setbacks to remind us to open our eyes. So my friend – I accept your influence. Thank you for the experience.
On another note – I have been watching my “fellow man” and wondered about their lack of life. I realised that man generally creates a miasma of self-vision that excludes the painful, beautiful, divergent pathways unless they have a direct bearing in themselves. I gave me shivers as I saw how they limit their lives because of the mores placed on them by society, culture and themselves
How often do we pause in the shade of a tree and not thank the Universe and the tree for being there to give us shade. Or walk past a flower without marvelling at it’s very presence in our lives and giving thanks for the flower and for being part of a life that has flowers.
Enough philosophising for now …. LOL
I did find 2 other quotes I particularly like and thought they were relevant to my last mail.
“Let me embrace thee, sour adversity, for wise men say it is the wisest course.” - William Shakespeare
“Tragedy should be utilized as a source of strength. No matter what sort of difficulties, how painful experience is, if we lose our hope, that’s our real disaster.” - Dalai Lama

Your words are so incredibly uplifting Graham and filled with wisdom, truth and are good for the soul… if anyone reading my blog identifies with what I share, surely they would be touched and uplifted by your sharing also, so thank you very much for adding your voice here.

I love what you said, and yes, I also believe that we are meant to cross paths so that we can learn from each other.

I am going to end with some Logotherapy quotes which I feel might fit well with some of what you have shared:

Noögenic Neurosis and depressions
“Frankl believes that most people do not reach optimal development because they lack the courage to respond to the challenge of life to exercise their freedom responsibly. Responsibility is evaded, avoided, shirked or minimised; their conscience becomes dulled. Seeking pleasure, power, and position, they have an adroit busyness (a kind of speed mania) that, according to Frankl, is symptomatic of the denial of the spiritual side of being human. The end result of this is the frustration of their basic will to meaning. Life becomes empty and meaningless – an existential vacuum (a spiritual emptiness) develops – which manifests itself in a spiritual or noögenic neurosis. This neurosis has reached collective dimensions in our time. People suffering from this collective neurosis have the following characteristics:
• An unplanned, day-to-day existence: People live aimlessly; they have no future goals, no real purpose in life.
• A fatalistic attitude towards life: People see themselves as helpless victims of their circumstances; they can do little to change their lives. Their fate is determined by heredity and environment. This is the approach of many nihilistic philosophers and psychologists!”
• Conformism: In an effort to evade the stress of authenticity – of living lives of personal responsibility – people fall into the stream of conformism and do what most other people do. They are afraid to be different and take a committed stand. They feel safe by going along with the crowd.
• Totalitarianism: In a totalitarian regime people are told what to do, what to believe and how they must behave. This type of system suits those who prefer to be blind followers rather than have the task of working out what they themselves think or believe.

Frankl (1967:xvi) contends that ‘ultimately, all these four symptoms can be traced back to man’s fear of responsibility and his escape from freedom’.
Elisabeth Lukas (1985:166) describes noögenic neurosis as ‘a resignation due to abandoned ideals’. Psychological conflicts and distresses are not the cause of this type of neurosis, but existential emptiness is. People suffering from noögenic neurosis are in spiritual distress. They need spiritual direction and purpose in life. With noögenic neurosis, logotherapy is called for not psychotherapy.” (Shantall, 2003, p.105) ~ The Quest for Destiny

And one of my all-time favourite Frankl quotes:

“In life the opportunities to address oneself to this or that group of values vary from hour to hour. Sometimes life demands of us the realization of creative values; at other times we feel it necessary to turn to the category of experiential values. At one time we are called upon, as it were, to enrich the world by our actions, another time to enrich ourselves by our experiences. Sometimes the demands of the hour may be fulfilled by an act, at another time by our surrendering to the glory of an experience. Man can be “obligated” to experience joy. In this sense a person sitting in a streetcar who has the opportunity to watch a wonderful sunset, or to breathe in the rich scent of flowering acacias, and who instead goes on reading his newspaper, could at such a moment be accused of being neglectful toward his obligations” (Frankl, 1986, p.45) ~ The Doctor and the Soul

Since as far back as I can remember, family, friends, complete strangers and strangely even animals (birds included) have come to me for help and comfort and I have always felt the calling to be there for others in any way that I possibly can.
